In a bar or restaurant one evening about a year ago,
I found myself in a position where I could see a couple
sitting on the other side of the room.
A mirror was positioned at an angle where if I moved slightly
the man was masked and only the woman was visable
it then looked as though the woman was sitting across from me
on the other side of my table.
So I wrote as you came to me.
Everyone finds there place,
while a guitar plays a couple sit In a space far from everyone's war
they find love a deckade after there childhood shyness,
I heard them earlier say how they looked at each other then
as there hands met in the music filled mess of ego and flirts.
Calm passed around there blissful gaze.
Watching in the mirror above the empty fire space
imagining myself as her suitor,
I change my position to exclude him,
Carl from days gone past,
and think of you and me,
and wonder do others see the things I see,
a man so besotted he agrees with all the blonde desires,
the wife who has her nieche in friends of an outrages husband with a zest for fun
and all she wants is the end of the night,
Me scribbling while sleepless neighbours wish that it was morning
and they had better to look forward than the mundanity of sad eyes over
a breakfast of bleak tales of a world without light.
Life replays like a drowning mans life memories
as feverishly words strugle for space,
my eyes never leave the mirror as might you disapear from my mind.
And then I too face the cold reality of morning
the empty space between two worlds,
I pause.
and I smile and chase sadness with the memory of gifts you shared,
your love still colours my world.

A Day in the week...
Here I am back in London after 3 weeks back in Scotland safely returned from Los Angeles where I spent 3 weeks and toward the last week several days virtually on the streets.
London however is a different story as I have my own accommodation in the guise of the wondrous Sunseeker my four berth motorhome. Having parked it in the area near to the studios for the last month and a half without being run the battery was in need of a charge, also the brakes were a bit off as the servo pipe was a little pierced. But a quick call to the roadside rescue and in less than 5 hours I was back on the road and on the hunt for my next project.
Sunday was spent with a visit to Battersea car boot sale where as usual I found some very interesting and useful items. A keyboard for my apple ibook almost complete for £3 which I required as almost all of the keys are missing from the ibook I purchased for £25 from Battersea about a month before going to America to shoot a film with the Sunseeker crew (thegatethatletsyouin.blogspot.com) check it out.
I also purchased a bandi transformer toy car for 50p which is cool and shall add to my little collection, hope it’s a robot.
Today has been spent calling colleagues and others trying to find out what if any films are shooting in the main studios in the London area. Apart from pre-production on Le Miserable’s and the possible re-shoots of Jack the Giant Killer at Longcross there is only Bond 23 shooting at the moment.
Rush,Thor,2 Fast &Furious 6, are a few films that are waiting to start as is talk of a Tom Cruise film for Leevsden studios. We shall have to wait and see..

Ode To Svengali by Norman Rees
Ode to Svengali
(the alternative Valentine poem) envy desire
Beware the one who's shoulder is always there for you to cry
with eyes of green and a tongue rich with the golden words of comfort
His intention like smoke drifting through your life,
its hard to see his soul masked safe it lies beneath the ice cold deceat he lives by.
Even he finds it hard to look inside the forgery that is his life hidding
in the dark love he freely shows for all that you are,
the one who covets your life.
The friend who turned out to be your thief stealing your future
and all the love and happiness your heart can give
only to be returned with promises made.
Svengali the man who is realy the insecure child
you his toy, his plaything taken away by the older boy,
Your life now left behind in the hands of its death.
his envy and desire living in other peoples love
He always wins as he rests in the arms of the honesty of others
as he blinds your heart with false promises of endless friendship
so soon to be revoked.
All independent thought replaced with his insecurity and the guilt
you must surely feel as you try to have a moment without consideration.
You may think he can save you,
but beware he shall but only for himself

To all
To all who have tested my endurance,
You who doubted my ability
Those I stood by and stood by me
All the friends I have not seen
And those I have yet to meet
For problems faced and problems solved
Calls in the day that made it tough and in the night
that made me cry.
For the happy people with new born life
who let me share there excitement and joy.
For little Mikey who makes me smile
and makes it for me a better place.
For those of you who understand
and those of you who don't
And you the one who sticks it out and cares
For you thats here today
you thats gone and missed
For your friendship your patience
your present and your past
your love however long however brief
and for you the one I cant forget
My Life..... Thank you
